The Force That Through the Green Fuse . . .by raishComment: I like this one, I especially like the photo on the left, on it's own it's a beautiful photo with lovely DOF and the fresh you shoots twining around, taking over and getting support from the rusty old thing is wonderful. The guy with the green shoes makes me smile, an inspired choice for this trio and I do like the way you've got his popping through the top frame, that's just clever. The new life theme running through the three photos is very nice. |

The Tale of Tress-Lock Forest (enitrely of hair!)by LaMasComment: How did I miss this, it's an instant favorite and the most creative image I've seen on this site. This would make such a wonderful illustration in a childrens book, there are so many stories that can be woven out of this. But to me it tells the tale of a gentle man in the Autumn of his life that is now facing life alone. He doesn't seem bitter or terribly lonely but is reflecting on the happy times he's shared with another in this beautiful place. I could while away hours in front of this image, thank you for sharing it with us. |

redby idpComment: I waited until I'd voted the whole challenge before coming back to comment on this one, it's my absolute favorite of the challenge and I wanted to sit with it awhile. It was love at first sight but like any love the slight discords keep it interesting. The middle image being slightly off centre bothered me a little until I realized that if it was centre the reds would overlap and that wouldn't work as well, so it shows care in the composition and respect for the way the images work as a whole. That slight discord is one of the charms of this image, it draws my eye to inspect the corners of each image as well as the whole. I love the way the blown whites on the top image meld it with the background. The blue draws my eye in an opposing triangle to the red and the rust in the top image leads my eye into the rust stain in the bottom one to join the images and yet each image retains a strength and individuality of it's own. This should be hanging in a gallery, huge, with a comfy chair so that people can sit and get lost in the details of it at their leisure. I have no doubt that it will be under appreciated so let me congratulate you now on a fine piece of work. |

Domestic Abuseby UbersteinyComment: Very powerful and very well done. At first I wasn't comfortable with her expression it just seemed too peaceful for such violence but the more I look at it the more I get the feeling of peace at last. The blood on the soap and the dirty sink is just perfect, I would have liked to see a scratch or bruise or something on him to say that she fought back...but then many don't. I applaud your courage at tackling such a difficult issue and doing it so well. |

Sunrise Waves by hotpastaComment: This is a bit different from the usual surf shots, I love the silhouettes and the sparkle of the surf. Very dramatic and works beautifully as a triptych. |
