Cabaretby banmornComment: You did very well with NI as I see no noise and the picture is in perfect focus. The pink flower does look suspended in mid air! Love your title. |

Day Threeby TuckersmomComment: This looks like a vintage photograph. Deep rich colors work very well with the texture of the petals. Very nice work, Debbie! |

Day 3by WriteHeartComment: This is commonly known as Indian blanket flower (Gaillardia) in the family Asteraceae (sunflower family). They grow wild in Kansas, but I've noticed a lot of people plant them in their gardens. I just love the bright red and yellow combination. |

I Can Relate :(by Art RoflmaoComment: I'm impressed that you were able to keep the shot in focus with all that shaking goin' on!
Oh, and please stay with this challenge! I think I'll go mad if all I have to make comments on are pretty flower shots. Message edited by author 2007-07-03 11:55:56. |

Moon Unfurling.by BlueZamiaComment: I really like the way those petals spiral around each other.
This looks just like a plant that grows around here called Buffalo-gourd. Very similar to an entry I made in the purple challenge last fall (a bit of a stretch for the challenge and my centered comp failed miserably)
I'd be curious to see what yours looks like fully opened. |

day2.jpgby superdaveComment: There is a kind of moodiness with your composition. I think that the shadows really add drama. What about cropping out the thin shadow on the left? I think it might detract a bit from what you have going here. |

Day Twoby TuckersmomComment: That's some root system! There IS enough detail to see the 2 cotyledons (seed leaves) just to the right of the lowest part of the stem. Cool shot! |

dramaqueen.jpgby ltlmschrisssComment: The fringes of these petals remind me of some exotic creature in the ocean. I like the color variation of white with the purple. |
