The arms, hmmmm... I don't care for them so much. The extreme extension seems unnatural. I think if only right was extended and the left was lower on the tree it might improve it.

The exposure and the DOF are excellent. Nice bokeh also.

I like the light and texture on the fence. Nice control of the DOF to keep most of the fence in focus but letting the background to be more ethereal.

I would have considered cloning out the other distractions along the horizon.

It's already been said but I have to concur that the movement of the train adds a masterful touch. For me the train metaphorically represents life passing by quickly as the building slowly decays.

Very interesting perspective. I would have liked to see the frame raised just a bit to loose a little of the foreground. This would take the feet a bit further off-center too. Very nice as is though.

09 - Stables in the Fog

I'm always partial to the shots that capture the elements at work. I have to say that the sharpness of the other one is very nice too. One other key point that catches my eye though is the difference in the fence line (at the left). In the fist photo the leading line is almost lost as the fence dips down the hill. In this one the line is more complete

I like this alot Deb. For me it's almost a picture (the man) whithin a picture (the station). I usually don't like when I feel there are competing subjects in a single image but it really works in this one.
