Daleby snafflesComment: You can definately feel this is candid due to the slight blur and the fact that it looks like it was taken inside. Nice capture. |

Dragonfly Candidby annigComment: Very nice shot of the dragonfly. Focus is nice and crisp. A boost in saturation I think would help this dragonfly pop. |

What is Your Desire?by robinssongComment: I can hear an accent in the title. I love this photo for many reasons. The tones are soooo warm. The dark background makes the man pop out. I love the many bottles because they add additional character to the photo. Even his hat thingy. The composition is perfect in the way he is off to the side. Everything is in nice crisp focus. I know many people are going to think this is not a candid shot because the vendor is looking at you. Well, as a person who has taken a candid shot on occassions they will look at you at the last minute when you are taking the shot. That is what I feel has happened here. It is obvious he is selling something and he happened to look your way and you were fortunate enough to get a priceless photo that is worth hanging on the wall. |

Vegetable Marketby StrikeslipComment: The darkening around the edges definately makes the man pop out. Great composition and crisp focus. And I like the use of B/W tones. |

Simply Elegantby abrantonComment: This deserved a better score than it received. I gave it a 6 during voting. I like how the leaves framed the duck and you can tell the duck is white. Also, what made the duck stand out was because of the vibrant green in the leaves. It is a very nice photo. |

Sacrifice by graphicfunkComment: First off congrats on your ribbon. Secondly, I didn't look or vote on this challenge because I didn't feel comfortable with the topic. But if I had I would have given yours a 10. You did a very nice high contrast B/W photo. I just love the processing. I am a big fan of B/W photos. They always seem to have so much detail and emotion. I can't believe I am going to say this but I am going to have to make this one of my favorites. You really did a great job. |

Happiness is...by robinssongComment: For two reasons this photo makes me smile. One, it looks like he is smiling at me. Two, At the same time he does look like he is flipping me off. I love the warm glow you have achieved in his fur and the nice crisp focus on his face. Another thing going for you is the compoisition and the DOF. The pale background makes him pop. Wonderful. |
