Took the point-and-shoot, to be less conspicuous, to the downtown bi-weekly Friday Feststreet festival. It worked out pretty well and no one seemed to mind me much. This guy gave me the thumbs up sign after he saw me pointing my camera his way. He seemed like a likable fellow. Maybe next time I'll see if he has a potion for me. :)

I don't know if you can see some of the names of his "Potions" or scented oils but they are hilarious. One is even named "Paris Hilton" Yuk! I wonder what THAT smells like? Probably better to leave that one alone! :b

Did a fair amount of editing on this one and tried it several ways. I didn't like it black and white because his skin would get lost in the background and look too dark. I don't remember all the steps, but I adjusted levels, dodged and burned and sharpened and ran NN to smooth out his skin some.

This is an excellent image and (IMO) extremely underrated. Great work, Robin.

This is an awesome capture. I was reading the names of some of the vials. Some of them are just downright funny.

This says street scene more than candid to me (probably accentuated by the fact that the subject is looking directly to camera) However disregarding that its good image of a trader and interestingly composed

I can hear an accent in the title. I love this photo for many reasons. The tones are soooo warm. The dark background makes the man pop out. I love the many bottles because they add additional character to the photo. Even his hat thingy. The composition is perfect in the way he is off to the side. Everything is in nice crisp focus. I know many people are going to think this is not a candid shot because the vendor is looking at you. Well, as a person who has taken a candid shot on occassions they will look at you at the last minute when you are taking the shot. That is what I feel has happened here. It is obvious he is selling something and he happened to look your way and you were fortunate enough to get a priceless photo that is worth hanging on the wall.

I wish he wasn't looking straight at the camera..

I do not like the look on the mans face, and I would like to be able to see the labels a little better.
