Day 08 - Woody.jpgby KenComment: Love how his eyes match the blanket while his fur tends to blend into the background. |

Swan Songby datcatComment: Very surreal and abstract. Your use of textures is seamless. I can certainly see this hanging on a wall somewhere. |

day 9. feb 08 overlays. pelican daysby rozComment: How fun is this? At first glance I thought 'no way, you don't get to catch six pelicans at once doing interesting things all together'. Then I realized what you'd done and I felt a little better. Very, very creative. |

day 7. feb 08 slice of life. elle & kateeby rozComment: roz, you have such a wonderful way of bringing your subjects out. Elle and Katee just pop out of this like nothing else is on the page, and yet there's a whole world behind them telling the story of their lives. Great 'slice of life' shot. |

Phalanxby GermaineComment: Boy, you have found a gold mine in that wall, and you are using it to your best advantage. I like how you've framed this with half a window on each side, the light/shadow above and that ubiquitous red line below. The three walkers are perfectly posed as one object, but the detail on each allows us to see them as individuals. There's a story here. Well done. |

Day 9.jpgby socalsteveComment: This would be a perfect entry for the Panning challenge if you can make it work in basic. The detail on the egret is astounding. Wonderful color and contrast, and he really stands out against that background. |

Day_8_Grand Canyon2by ApertureAshleyComment: This is a great shot of the canyon, Ashley. You did a good job remembering the rule thirds, and your sky has some nice drama going on. Beautiful colors front to back, and you caught the light just right. The closest foreground isn't quite in focus, though. Were you using a tripod? Or perhaps you needed a higher f stop. Otherwise, a classic shot. |

Day_6_Faces of Lucyby ApertureAshleyComment: Doesn't that make you just want to spit! Or, you think your backup battery is charged, so you head out without checking and when you get an hour away from home and start your pictures...guessssss whaaat!
Love these pictures of Lucy. How'd you get her to snarl on command? And, I've never seen a dog look so apologetic. Great job. |
