Just wanted to share this one too! I was way too busy for day 7 and 8, but had some shots from the Grand Canyon that I like!

The neat thing is we actually climbed to the top of the triangle shaped peak towards the right of the photo, It looks a lot scarier than it is!

This has that "wow" factor and you've done a great job bringing out the detail.

Just read your notes below... still think you could get more detail (I tried it on this photo).

Thanks! I'll have to try that, I was rushing through the process for this one so I could get it posted. I do think it is a great shot, just needs a little more tlc to get it to the next level. When I get a chance I will post the original, its come a long way already!!

Very nice - gotta love the GC! I live just down the road - so to speak - and yet rarely go.

Beautiful colors front to back, and you caught the light just right. The closest foreground isn't quite in focus, though. Were you using a tripod? Or perhaps you needed a higher f stop. Otherwise, a classic shot.

I actually shot this with my canon powershot, I didn't have a tri pod, just literallly point and shot this one....I did levels on the foreground and background seperately to bring out the detail in both.

This is a wonderful shot of the Grand Canyon and your explanation of the triangular peak is a way of putting it in perspective. I would love to visit the Grand Canyon some day. We have a mini Grand Canyon of the Pacific her on Kauai but it is small in comparison, 1 mile wide, 10 mile long and 3600 feet deep, or so.
