Well composed image. Being taken from directly overhead wworks well. Spoon placement and angle is good. The lines behind the bowl will be a slight distraction for some viewers and you might consider applying some light noise reduction.

Creamy Beef Lasagna

Good composition, color and arrangement. Looks very appealing. The closest corner of the lasagna holder is out of focus to the point of being a distraction to the viewer. Soft focus in the foreground of an image is always tricky. Looking at the front cover of a Denny's menu, which unfortunately they do not show on their website, you see a good example of a foods picture with soft focused foreground. Your image would be even better than it is if you applied about the same amount of foreground soft focus as the Denny's image has.

Very curious entry for this challenge. Choice of B&W with a lot of grain works for your intent but overall technical quality is low. Though it is fairly obvious what you are getting at most viewers will probably feel it does not work well for them.

Chicken and Vegetable Salad on Spinach

Composition, lighting and colors are good. Shallow DOF ma be a little too shallow. There is not a lot that is in sharp focus at all. Shooting at a higher f/stop to widen the DOF more would would well. The image does not need to be in sharp focus everyhere, just more than it is.

Chicken-On-A-Beer-Can

Coro is fine and the composition would be good if the big pan behind the chickens were removed. It makes the composition look crowded. The rest of the background is great. Lightin is a bit harsh as can be seen on the top of the chickens. USM is a bit too strong... the seasoning on the chickens is oversharpened, there is haloing most visible in the background lines and the there are "jaggies" along many straight lines and on some curves.

Good idea including white wine. There are some technical issues to be concernede with. Focus is somewhat soft and would be better if sharper. The light reflection in the wine glass produces a distracting overexposed spot on the lace cloth behind it. The lace cloth is stained and that is distracting. The table is not level.

Creme Brulee With Strawberries

Well arranged and taken at a good angle. Including blue and red adds color interest to the image and the blowtorch is a fun addition. The Pyrex measuring cup, eggshell and strawberry appear in sharper focus than the rest of the image which implies that shooting at a higher f/stop for greater depth of field would work with this image. The checkered background is a bit of a distraction to the rest of the composition.

Black Bean and Corn Salsa

Good idea to use a refection as part of the composition. Decent color and nice use of shallow DOF. Overall a little more contrast would add brightness to the image and though the refection is nice it having it off a bluegrey surface does not work as well as it could. Might be interesting to see how it would work off a mirror. The sharp focused areas still appear a bit on the soft focused side and might be better is sharpened more.

Soft Boiled Egg

Good solid black background, generally good technical quality, well centered in the frame. The white border works. The egg is overexposed on the left side but not badly so. The specks on the egg holder, however, are distracting and reflected light is harsh on its shiny surface. Perhaps there is something you might have done to eliminate them that does not involve cloning.
