 Ingredients:
1 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 can whole kernal corn, drained
1 ea red pepper, minced
1 sm red onion, minced
1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/3 cup lime juice
1/4 cup olive oil
3 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp black pepper, freshly ground

Instructions:
Toast cumin seeds in a skillet over medium heat 1 to 2 minutes or until brown and fragrant, stirring often.

Combine cumin seeds, black beans, and remaining ingredients; toss well.

Cover and store in refrigerator upto 1 week.

Yield: 6 cups.

The focus seems a wee bit off, but the reflection on the plate is a good idea.

Good idea to use a refection as part of the composition. Decent color and nice use of shallow DOF. Overall a little more contrast would add brightness to the image and though the refection is nice it having it off a bluegrey surface does not work as well as it could. Might be interesting to see how it would work off a mirror. The sharp focused areas still appear a bit on the soft focused side and might be better is sharpened more.

Nice moist looking food, i believe you could have maitained you composition while cropping closer to loose the table endge.

This pic would be more a lot more eye catching if the levels were balanced, and the focus dead on. There is also a distracting line in the lower left corner that takes away from the photo.

Your salsa looks yummy and the colors are great. Blue plate distracts from the black beans and overpowers the yellow in my opinion. Nice shot.

This needs better lighting. Has the potential for a good photo with some editing. Also the focus seems soft.
