Ansel Adamsby fredandaudComment: This fine image would be even better without the haloing on the horizon. |

Summer Treatby mpetersComment: Good use of themed color in a well thought out arrangement. Good perspective. The contast is a little weak for showing the shape of the glasses and the focus is on the soft side. |

Pre-mashedby psychephylaxComment: Good composition. Lighting is decent and there are no overexposed areas. You might consider a slightly higher f/stop for this shot to assure the nearest potato is in sharper focus. There is some slight haloing on the top potatoe's edge and the tones of the background are not quite balanced. |

MmMmMmMm cookiesby nlghttrainComment: Like the perspective of this shot. Lighting is excellent. It lacks the usual digital defects often seen in DPC images. Generally speaking the focused area on an image attracts the eye. In this case it is drawn to the word "KitchenAid" moreso than the cookie dough. Most voters will see that word is not level and that it draws attention away from the food part of the image and vote it lower as a result. |

Poire et Fromageby carpentsComment: Shallow DOF as in this image gives a very professional look to an image. Typically shallow DOF directs the viewer's attention to the focused areas and reviewers will ask themselves what is so special about that stem. It is a nice the way you have it curl around the other half of the pear in the background and placment on a cutting board is a good touch. |
