Where am I?by WildpurpleComment: I understand that you created this image this way intentionally and I appreciate the effect you were after. The appearence of the jaggies, particularly i the upper right and left portions of the image doesn not ork well for me. That is because they show up so often unintentionally in images that I view that as a major fault in a digital images as a whole and rarely rate them high if they have them. To me this image is a 6 or possibly even a 7, but because of the jaggies I gave it a 5 for technical reasons. Sorry. |

Breaking Eggs by terjeComment: Very creative and well done. Should be a ribbon contender. Did you make the eight on the "break"? :) |

Factory Accident? by JackoComment: Kool man that someone takes the challenge seriously. I "see" here that you took on the challenge head on, eyeball to eyeball so to speak. You must be a pupil of great photography and your iris was stopped down just right for this little peach of a shot. Just one thing, did you use mirrors or somethin' to make it look like your eye was in the can? I can tell it must have took a long time cause it is bloodshot. Should get a good score cause of that.
Top notch composition, lighting and interest. Capturing the reflection in the lid is a great touch. It is simply the "best" photograph in the challenge. |

Storm clouds over Tryfanby jonpinkComment: The most appealing thing about this image for me is that I get a strong sense that it results from a combination of great camera work and great post processing. The composition is outstanding. It looks like the tree and perhaps some areas of the hill it is on have been highlighted through lightening and darkening the image. The motion blur of the flowing water is wonderful. |

Phyllomedusa tomopternaby chuckComment: The quality and beauty of this one is stunning. The use of the rule of thirds and perfect focus on the eyes makes this a great shot. |

Gothic Illuminationby redmoonComment: I would consider this a top three image in this outstanding challenge if not for the cement support on the right side of the image. I'd have liked it better if it had been cropped out. As it is the lighting is perfect. It is a great image. |

Pet Peeveby ellamayComment: This easily could have been a ribbon winner. The one eye in focus adds great interest to this capture. |

Speedy Girlsby dirtkahunaComment: This is one of my personal top three images for this challenge. The profiles of the runners are captured perfectly and this image nicely conveys to the viewer that it takes intensity to achieve success. Perhaps there is a dose of sentimentality for me in it. I competed in track and cross country for many years and vividly remember training. |

Crash in the nightby terjeComment: The way color was processed in this image gives it a surrealistic quality that perfectly supports the accident scene as the main subject. It gives the viewer that "been there, feel for you" reaction. The quality of this image is outstanding and is a wonderful variation of the "streaking car headlights on the freeway" cliche. It is one of my personal top three for this challenge. |

The Jump Shotby TerryGeeComment: The guy controlling the action is in generally sharp focus and the motion in the image emphasizes how everyone else is reacting to him. That is what makes this a great "motion blur" image. The croping of this one, whether done in camera or post processing is tremendous. Super capture. |
