Flameby RoosterComment: This is the only picture that meets the challenge 100% and makes sence. I guess it need some brain power to undersatnd what you did and a whole lot more to create such a photo.

Your photo is technically good; but as you may appreciate, sometimes mere taste is a decisive factor in weighing a photos score; in a photo such as yours 1,2,3,4 even 5 represent the same attitude towards this type of photography. This does not necessarily reflect my exact opinion on such photos, but it is a response I felt you are entitled to.
Congratulations on the ribbon

Playmatesby alanfreedComment: Originally posted by L2: Technicals here are well met with regard to exposure, composition, focus, etc. I don't mean to hurt your feelings, but this really seems like a standard portrait that you have to know the person to really like the image. There's no story - the girl and the cat aren't interacting -- there's no true personality captured or anything that makes me wish I was a) at the scene or b) knew the people in it. Technically though, you got it spot-on. Artistic merit - although pleasing, it's rather ordinary. |
Do not listen to what L2 said above. I loved the cat and the girl because of the photo. I did not have to know them to like them. Great picture. and much under rated.Message edited by author 2007-12-10 02:08:07. |
