catcandid2.jpgby faidoiComment: Gorgeous. Very regal looking. I think with maybe a blurring of the background it could look like a portrait, because the pose is so striking. Great job. |

the edgeby RikkiComment: You need to have your arms outstretched, and instead of calling this "the edge" call it "I'm the king of the world!"
(please don't return this comment, hehe!!) |

yosemite fallsby RikkiComment: I love the detail here, and the composition. Makes me go "wow" and wish that I could see this in person. I am also noticing that the contrast looks very good and nothing seems too light or dark. |

river's edgeby RikkiComment: Beautiful colors!! Makes me think of winter, but the picture is somehow inviting enough that it makes up for the coldness. The tilt of most of the trees seems a little weird, but since they're tilting opposite directions I suppose there is nothing that can be done about that! I think my favorite part of this photo is the light on the rock on the bottom left. |

strengthby RikkiComment: I like the pose! Gives a great sense of awe and wonder. I do wish that the backpack was a bit less in shadow, but it's a minor point. I guess I am just trying to make sense of all the straps there :-)
I just noticed the path to the left. It's interesting that you're standing on the rocks. Kind of like, wow, the waterfall is so awesome that you are drawn off the path and onto the rocks to get a better look. |

reflectionsby RikkiComment: Wow, such beautiful colors. It is a bit busy, but I think that helps give the sense of real, raw nature. Just took me a second to orient myself. I also like how it's not in sharp focus... I think it just gives it an abstract feel that I think is pleasing. |

solitudeby RikkiComment: I really like this - it has a huge emotional impact. The only thing I might recommend is a tighter crop on the left and bottom - I am slightly overwhelmed by the background, and it would have the added benefit of removing the out of focus part on the top left. But yeah, I know the point is to emphasize the solitude, and what you have does a really great job with that! |

Glacierloveby terjeComment: Such a beautiful shot! I like the balance between abstract composition and the fine details that are there. The colors also.. they are very beautiful. This is neat because I am wondering how ice would form that sort of pattern - it makes me marvel. |

Moonby igoofryComment: I love this! The moon looks really nice and crisp and really draws me in. I also like how the background is blue, not black - it gives it a nice feel to the shot.
There is a bit of noise showing but I imagine that was due to your sharpening so that the moon details could stand out. Maybe there is a way to sharpen only the moon?
Looking at this gives me one of those "Yay for God and his beautiful creation" moments - great photo! |
