I like this portrait a lot. The wicker chair back is a nice touch and the surroundings of her quilting make this image. No reflections on the glasses and a charming relaxed smile. Nice work indeed. And a good model.

That's a lot of work to produce your photo of this iconic monument. My reaction - the steel looks a little flat. HDR is a bit like stone-washing jeans, takes away something and give something. But sometimes what it gives (despite all the hard work of layer and what not) is not as rich an image as one might hope for. Had I not read your notes, I would have glanced over it. I reckon it has commercial potential for reason of the colourful flag - but around here I notice that selective colouring is not in vogue.

Initial feeling is that the protagonist has a heck of a long stride. The - - - of the road seems to accentuate his/her disappearing out of the frame. Human actor in a world of visual symbols.

After shooting a large number of attempted bubble shots, hand held at the beach, I can sympathize with your dilemma. It is a poignant scene - yet it probably needed a tripod to reveal its true beauty.
