COMPOSITION- Very nicely shot. You have some great detail on the flames and the middle part of the burner. I like the blue on the black. I wonder how you could have cropped our done something a little different with where the burner is. I think that it would look a little better not in the center.

BACKGROUND- The black works great with the low light of the blue burner. The hot pixel isn't fun to have.

CAMERA WORK- DOF is good. Sharpness is a little soft. The aperature and shutter speed are great. It's not under or overexposed.

DIGITAL PROCESSING- The post work is good. No artifacts from compression. I wonder if you could have sharpened it a little. Contrast and brightness are good.

MY OPINION- This was my favorite of the burners this week. Sorry about the pixel. I just found out my camera has two. I don't know what to do, if that's under warranty or what. Great job on the shot.

Shades of Blue

COMPOSITION- Composition on this is pretty good. I like how you've not centered the horizon and had most of the sky on pretty much the top 2/3's of the picture. I like the hint of lights on the plants. The sun is a little bright and causing some glare.

BACKGROUND- Not much bad about it. It's blue and fits the challenge great. I like that there are no clouds in this shot. I normally like shots with cool looking clouds.

CAMERA WORK- DOF is great and the colors in this are nice. I do like the hint of gold in the, is it, wheat? I don't know any tricks to get rid of the glare, it's a little distracting.

DIGITAL PROCESSING- Good compression on this. No artifacts or anything like that. Saturation is good.

MY OPINION- This is a nice peaceful shot. I find the sun a little distracting, but I wonder how it would look a little later with the sun set a little more. Nice job.
