Interesting... this might have been very cool for another challenge, but for me it's really not a sports shot, although it's definitely related to sports. I love your title though, very very clever :-) Interesting lighting at the very top... I think I would have liked maybe a ball coming in from the side or something, just to give it some action... but thats just me.

Very clear, good action shot. It bothers me that the girl who is in focus has her back to you, but it's not terrible. I like the determination on the girl who is looking straight at the camera's face. I almost wish she was in focus and the girl with the ball was a little blurry, might have made for a pretty interesting shot. Field hockey is fun to shoot though :-) Nicely done.

Good catch, to me it looks almost like he's holding onto the boat. I like how this photo was taken around sundown, it gives it a nice soft look. Nice job getting the surfer at the peak of the action. The horizon looks slightly tilted but it's not a big deal. I wish you would have gotten closer, but I realize you probably had limitations on zooming.

Barrel Racing

I love barrel racing, I've done it a little myself! I think for this though I would have liked to have seen the horse bending around the barrel coming towards us instead of going away from us. As it is I can't see the expression on the womans face which bothers me. Also I just don't feel to much in this setting, would like to have a closer view of the woman, maybe crop off some of the extraneous dirt. Good action here though :-).

This is cute, wish there was a puck somewhere and it didn't look like he was just skating around the ice. Would have been nice to zoom in quite a bit more and get right up in his face, maybe even let us see what he's thinking. I think I would have liked the picture to be more straight, it's tilted as you can tell by the board running around the rink... Other then that not too bad...

Wish you would have had a longer zoom to catch more of the action closer up. This is a great subject though :-) It's just too far away for a great sports shot. but it's a nice boating scene.

Nice job of getting up for a closer look of the athlete, this helps us to connect more. Good DOF. Not much action happening here, looks like he's running but not for any purpose that we can tell.. His face doesn't really tell us anything either, but it's still a nice close up.

This is a cute interpretation of the challenge, and it does have to do with sports, although there isn't much action being caught here, I like the feeling that this boy is out, while the others are in, and it tells the story of how sports are for young kids. I liked your composition a lot, and I feel that black and white was the right choice for this photo. Not extremely exciting but nice all the same.

Did he jump off a cliff and are you shooting this from the cliff? Beautiful sight, I'd love to do that some day! I wish you could have zoomed in quite a bit more, and filled the frame with the person and and hang glider.... but if you didn't have access to a zoom thats understandable. I just think as a sports shot this would have been more applicable if you could see the exuberance on the persons face. Since you couldn't I still would have tried maybe to crop differently as it is the hangglider just sits in the middle of the frame... not very attractively done composition wise.

I love the composition here of having the other table going off to the upper left, it gives a feeling that maybe there are a bunch of other pool tables. Nice action as well... very well done capturing the movemtn and everything, having the persons hand in there was a good idea... overall this is just a very nicely done shot, with great lighting and great capture. I'm goiing to give this a -10- congrats and good luck!
