Taken at my first time photographing barrel racing at the Red Flannel Saddle Club Show Grounds in Cedar Springs Michigan. I was invited to attend and got caught up in the action. Fast horses, wonderful riders, a truly great time.

I love this shot...best of luck with it...it might have had more strength with a tighter crop top and bottom

I love barrel racing, I've done it a little myself! I think for this though I would have liked to have seen the horse bending around the barrel coming towards us instead of going away from us. As it is I can't see the expression on the womans face which bothers me. Also I just don't feel to much in this setting, would like to have a closer view of the woman, maybe crop off some of the extraneous dirt. Good action here though :-).

Excellent. Very dynamic shot. nIce stop motion. The dust really makes gives it character. Jacko. 8

nice action shot

I like the composition here. The lack of space in front of the horse helps emphasize the fact that the horse is turning and the dust shows where the horse has been and adds to the capture of action.

no eyes or faces - emphasis on the horse's hind quarter

Great capture of the action. Very crisp. Maybe a little more contrast might help to creat more depth in the photo.

Great shot! You captured the action nicely. To bad you can't see the barrel, but still good.

wow, a real sense of motion and strength here. seeing the horse balanced like this, where he could obviously only have been for a split second, and the cloud of dust, brings a definite urgency to the shot. I think I might like to see it from the front but the action is definitely there.

This is a lovely shot, the horse and rider, despite their movement are in great focus, the background is not distracting and the dust is really great!! I love how it adds to the movement of the shot. The 'open' mouth of the horse is a good detai as is the tail and mane sticking up.

Good shot - great action, but would really liked to have seen rider's face.
