I think a tighter crop and a higher point of view would result in better patterns, but then I´d lose that nice natural feel that the two taxis and people at the top give to the image. I mean, it´s the top of the photo which brakes the purely geometrical, thus cold, patterny look of the image.
Black and white works much better, because color is to distracting. And, as Jutilda observed, I wanted this to look like a shot from an old movie, with very strong contrast.

i liked this photo, i really did. the nice colours, the spiky shapes, the two blue lines on the top-right side...i was thinking that a more poetic title, like "wish you were here" or "shine you diamond" would fit better to this image, not something as concrete as money. now, after reading your (photographer´s) comments, i think i understand what you tried to achieve, and i must say you did quite some good job. but, to make it even better, i think you should´ve put the entire line of the lyric, not only the title.
i wish you better luck on the next challenges.

This photo and some of the comments can be used as an example on appreciating art. I would like to add something about the colours: it´s a great find that the red vest on the kid´s back is the opposite of the blue water and sky; and his clothes are blue also. I guess it can mean that the hardships of life (the red) which go against the mainstream (the blue of everything) have to be carried on one´s back/shoulders, while trying to melt in society (the blue of clothes).
But, when you really think about it (reflect - the reflection), the entire life is blended into a boring dark brown, fragmented into unconnected pieces. And the proof of the existence (ripples) disappear or get mixed with other ones.

7 hmmmm....i don´t know, but i feel this is a good photo. it doesn´t say money to me, but it might be in a strange world. i can´t rationally justify the 7, but i feel that´s the right vote for this shot. good luck.
