From morning to night I stayed out of sight
Didn't recognise I'd become
No more than alive I'd barely survive
In a word... overrun
Won't hear a sound
From my mouth
I've spent too long
On the inside out
My skin is cold
To the human touch
This bleeding heart's
Not beathing much
I murmured a vow of sielence and now
I don't even hear when I think aloud
Extinguished by light I turn on the night
Wear its darkness with an empty smile
I'm creeping back to life
My nervous system all awry
I'm wearing the inside out
Look at him now
He's paler somehow
But he's coming round
He's starting to choke
It's been so long since he spoke
Well he can have the words right from my mouth
And with these words I can see
Clear through the clouds that covered me
Just give it time then speak my name
Now we can hear ourselves again
I'm holding out
For the day
When all the clouds
Have blown away
I'm with you now
Can speak your name

Shot RAW, edited in PSCS2. Adjusted levels, highlight/shadows, contrast/lightness. Resized and ran through NI, then through dust/scratches (pretty heavy). Adjusted contrast/lightness a bit more. Saved for web.
Probably won't do good, this is another one of these abstract experiments that I find so fascinating lately (a phase, he, he). But it's worth posting for the comments it might get.
I was working on a different song actually. Since I didn't know anything about Pink Floyd before the challenge, and I was looking through the wiki discography, the album called "The Division Bell" caught my attention (because of the factory in background, duh!). That's the one I was working on. But after looking through the songs and reading some of the lyrics, I thought this one (the title, "Weaping the Inside Out"), fit the image better than "The Division Bell".

9 A challenge fav..... the effect of the soft transparent/translucent components fit the title. During voting and review I thought your "Wearing the Inside Out" might be a variation by Wink.

| Sorry but to me this is just an out of focus, blurry mess and nothing I find visually/aesthetically pleasing so I voted it a 3. |
