Again this elongated rectangle! Does your Pentax have a specially shaped sensor, for landscape photography, perhaps? :)

Anyways, I don't know the movie that was recreated, and, of itself, this photograph has no appeal for me at all, sorry.

I don't watch many movies, so I'm not sure how this relates to the challenge by just studying the image. I see from all the comments what you were after, and it looks like you had a good idea, and got it to look the way you wanted it to look.
It's not a "big wow, artsy production studio" kind of photo, but it is the statement that you wanted to make. I'm not sure how you could do what you intended, and make a really sharp image that would nail the viewers attention.
I noticed also that this one image you have on line is getting a lot of comment action.
Keep entering photos. Who knows, maybe another challenge theme will click right for your idea, and will be a top 10. It helps to post something in the "photographers comments box" if you want to share any details, and gives some insight into the creation of the image.
Keep shooting, and keep posting.

What's that about? The challenge was to recreate a scene in a movie and he did that, and pretty well, I might add. More thought? I gave this a 7.

It was about retaliation and being pissed but I grew up a little since then.

Thanks to commenters and voters.
The money is real.
I didn't want to include a woman, because I was aiming at the (literally) money laundry scene - a woman would burden the image.
I don't exactly remember the scene, but I know that they didn't use these kind of clips. The graininess is intentional. Also the greenish hue.

I didn't pass the 50% mark, but I'll try better next time.

I didn't see the movie so I didn't score you on that part. Picture wise, the dof throws me off. The blurry forground isn't attractive. Maybe if the dof were reversed it would give more dimension to the shot. I like the colors and high contrast processing but the grainyness detracts because it looks like a small crop was done from a larger picture. Not saying it was, just what it looks like to me.

Perfect crop for this and the clips are just the right color.

"Plot Outline: Corky, a tough female ex con and her lover Violet concoct a scheme to steal millions of stashed mob money and pin the blame on Violet's crooked boyfriend Caeser"

Yep. Could be. Good photo anyway.

this picture works, good quality. you should've added some blurry hot women hooking up in the background, give it more depth or relation to the film.
