Comment:
Open mouth is good, but poor focus is distracting and keeps it from being sinister, and thus making one fearful.

Shallow DOF, the frightened man, and the sepia tone get the point across very well.

Into the Darkness

Comment:
In this case the subject, the tunnel, is obscured by the left wall, and there is too much of the foreground, especially the graffitti, as a distraction. A shot taken much closer would have been far more effective.

Gephyrophobia

Comment:
I had to look up Gephyrophobia to figure out what the fear was, and then I noticed the bridge which is small, short, and might not be a bridge at all -- you can't really tell. The challenge description states "Try to make the viewer feel the emotion of the fear". This doesn't do it. The pastoral landscape and tinting doesn't help either.

Picture seems fuzzy and railing is a distraction.

Hard at Work - No Bibliophobia

"No phobia" doesn't meet challenge description. How can you possibly "Try to make the viewer feel the emotion of the fear" if there is no fear?

The Birds! The Birds!

They either need to be attacking the camera (or something else that's visible) or grouped menacingly on a clothesline to be effective. Otherwise, what's to fear?

Anthropophobia

Comment:
When I saw this I thought "fear of mice", then I read the title and realized that this is the mouse's view. Reminds me of an old Twilight Zone Episode, "The Invaders" where an alien space craft with little creatures crashes into the farmhouse where an old woman lives. Anyway, I'm drifting off subject. This gets a good score!

Alliumphobia

Comment:
I though only vampires suffered from alliumphobia. This picture doesn't show how the garlic would cause death or even bad breath. It's only a closeup of garlic bulbs. Nothing sinister in the way it is shot.
