Jackson Guitarsby jmsetzlerComment: Nice crisp shot. Bordering on being over sharpened? There appears to be a blue cast introduced on the subject from either the lighting, post processing, or a reflection? Good effort though. |

..too much turkeyby vin rigbyComment: Very nice photo. I wish the random grains of salt were not present or if desired maybe there could have been a small pile? Photo could use some help in technique to avoid the harsh shadows and blown highlights. Fine effort. |

Pepsiby arnitComment: 10th place? This was one of the best shots of the week in my opinion. I gave it a 10, and though sure it would place? If this shot is not a winner, then I'm not sure what the viewers are looking for? As an ad it is inviting, lively, entertaining, has a pretty girl, the product looks to be enjoyed, etc, etc. As a photo from a technical standpoint I think you did an excellent job. From a technical standpoint it is very difficult when shooting a portrait to get the subject to cooperate, and even more difficult to have them follow directions and look natural. You hit the mark here. I totally disagree with many of the comments below that criticize the model and her dress. My guess is that it can be difficult from a time and budgetary standpoint for most of the posters here to line up Cindy Crawford for a dpChallenge shoot. I think you were lucky to find such a pretty model as an ameature photographer (assumed). She is one of the prettiest girls I have seen photographed so far and I think her colorful blouse adds to the inviting look of the ad. Keep up the excellent work. |

Pepsiby arnitComment: Very effective shot. The use of a model works well here. She looks like she is enjoying the product. Exposure is great. Only a few blown highlights on the bottle. Looks like a winner to me. I gave it a 10. |

Snuggle Softby connieComment: Great idea. It looks like you have overexposed to the point of washing out much of the detail. Keep up the effort. |

Rock Onby nrouteComment: Nice inviting setup of the photo with the droplets on the can and glass. I would have prefered a lighting technique that avoided the blown highlights and reflections. The horizontal line just above the base of the subjects is also distracting? You might want to consider a longer angle lens for a similar shot to avoid the converging perspective, unless this was your intended effect? Good effort. |

Titleist: The #1 Ball in Golf by mattpgaComment: Love your shot. It looks very sharp. The only flaws I see are a slight red color cast on the top half of the ball (hope it is not just my monitor, it is color profiled though) and a loss of detail due to blown highlights in the upper right quadrant. I understand the difficulty of exposing in bright sunlight. Maybe the exposure would have been easier earlier in the morning or at the end of the day? Fine effort. I rate this photo high. |

La Cerveza Mas Finaby elliottwhitleyComment: 24th place? I guess my tastes are way off the mark relative to the average on the site. I rated this shot a 10. Keep up the good work. |

Hostage Situation!by albapeteComment: Absolutely outstanding creativity!!! This is the toughest photo for me to evaluate. I going back and forth on this one between a 9 and a 10. Probably will not be able to settle on a score untill the very end. Though the shot has good exposure, excellent focus for sharpness and detail, and great composition, I wish the shadow detail on the lower left and upper right sides would have been pulled out with fill lighting. I'm not sure whether the shadow is the effect you were actually after? Excellent effort. I rate this one very high (9 or 10?). |
