I really don't like the title. To my mind it should be a title and not an explanation.

That out of the way ... this shot just oozes atmosphere. Dark and faded and grimey, with plenty to look at and ponder. No comment on the politics because this would fit that type of feature perfectly whether you agree with it or not. Top stuff.

Really well picked out against the background of bluured out faces. A bit glum for parade coverage maybe? Still, an excellent capture.

V-signs, goggles, diamonds, pointed fingers, "rock" hand signs, waves, raised fists ... and somebody who's too cold to get their hands out :D
Fascinating photo, very well done. Can't see any Klingon greetings though!

Don't like the red patch in the top corner ... LOVE everything else about this. The pale greens and pinks sit back and let that beautiful face take center stage. Superb.

How many comments has your title attracted? A lot I hope, because it is so bad it both sucks and blows! I bet Da Vinci wishes he'd come up with something as catchy instead of "Mona Lisa" :P

The photo though deserves a great deal of respect. I can't imagine how you could have caught this better. The runners lined up perfectly. The leader (?) just arriving in shot. Even the shadow in the bottom corner with its outstretched arm adds to the image. Top stuff.

Pffft. Yet another water splash shot :D

This is excellent. The focus is right on the mark, and the "breathe in" moment is caught perfectly. Top stuff.

My fav in this challenge.

Maybe not so much photojournalistic, I dunno - I know nothing about photojournalism!, but it is a work of art. The vertical banding only adds to the image with its raw blownout-ness and poor definition on the scoreboard.

Lo-fi at it's best.

Excellent interpretation of the dirty, greasy, nasty, broken meaning of old.

A bit of advanced editing wouldn't have gone amiss on this one. The cable is an eyesore on an otherwise well executed shot.
