Lady and The Tramp by grahamgatorComment: Congrats on the Blue! Great composition and straight out of that great scene from Lady and the Tramp. Really great how you have both dogs slurping at the noodle and I really love how much they both emote - especially the big puppy dog eyes on your Lady as she looks up at Tramp. Wonderful work in putting it all together! |

a lightbulb momentby rozComment: Oh my! Great timing and framing of the subject! Love the surreal mood and feel to this! Feels like it is a still from a B&W movie. Love that the head is a lit industrial lamp - symbolically it is akin to the light bulb going off and a person getting an idea. Great photo! |

Migration Magic by namComment: Way to go Nikki! Congrats on a new personal best, winning the blue, and capturing an absolutely magical photo! And here I was guessing it was accomplished with the flowers on a patio glass table top, but not so. Wow, nearly 7 feet tall zinnas; now that is a garden to get pleasantly lost in!!! Congrats again! |

I love umbrellas and this colorful art installation is beautiful to look upon! It is a good shot but needs something 'more' to make it a stand out shot. As is it is a straight on shot with the umbrellas lined up neatly in straight rows. It just needs some oomph to put some added visual interest into a static shot. The only two things that I can suggest. One is to have taken it where the umbrellas run at a diagonal. The other is from a low angle looking up to capture a person's face in the corner and their hand reaching up as if to grab hold of an umbrella. |

The perspective of looking up and seeing the barbed wire and spikes of the gates in this city street with the buildings looming high above makes one question how they feel at this particular spot. Does it give a sense of the security or does it make one feel imprisoned within these tall walls? That is a question that is up to the viewer as to how they perceive this. A good photo with an interesting perspective that makes one stop and think. |
