Cast your light upon the watersby VanGoghComment: These abstracty type shots are so hard to get perfect...
It's interesting, but it's abstracty, which just isn't as appealing as some of the really well done still lifes and such in this challenge. A good effort, and an interesting picture, but not a very 'wow' photo, which is even more essential than usual in this challenge. |

Unbottled Essenceby metoecusComment: An interesting effect but the blown out white center and the general lightness of the green color limits its 'burst' impact. Not a very wow photo, which is even more essential than usual in this challenge. |

A festive welcomeby p2jvrComment: Far too busy and low in contrast. The burst of color in the statue's hats is comical, but is lost on the viewer with all the other 'stuff' going on here. |

Flower Powerby photogenixComment: Pretty, but...
There's something just a little 'off' about this picture. The yellow stamens look like their highlights are slightly blown out, perhaps from over post processing?
I think the DOF falloff is a little extreme, I would prefer more of the petal in focus too. |

Vertigo Color Burstby remarshComment: The extreme blur doesn't add anything to this shot, but instead distracts me from what could be a very pretty flower picture. |

Ceramic Allureby laindComment: In the future it would be to your best advantage to use the full 640 pixels on one side that are available to you. Oddly sized and smaller photos typically don't do very well here.
The blue bowl in the foreground is too pastel to compete with the other photos in this challenge that really BURST. Good job getting the background totally black, but this shot just doesn't 'pop' which is vital in a challenge about pop. |

Pink sonata by crayonComment: Please, Please, PLEASE, share your post processing technique with us!
This is an absolutely beautiful shot. I love the darkness where the color isn't... that incredible pink just draws you in to the photo. Ahh, I can't say enough good words about this shot, so I will let my score say it. 10! |

Colourful Solesby ShermyComment: This is the photo that could have been. More light would have really brought out those shoes, and against a white background really given the POP that makes for a great burst of color. |

Reworked, post commentsby hutch699Comment: Or maybe go to black and white? It could help hide the lack of "warm" skin tones, and at the same time add to the serious "dark" feeling others have noticed too. |
