You should definitely take advantage of the full 640pixel size that DPC allows for challenge submissions, as this shot is showing up really small on my 19" monitor at 1280x1024 resolution. The lighting also seems a little harsh with reflections and shadowing that detract from the shot. Just my humble opinion. Good luck! |

In the future it would be to your best advantage to use the full 640 pixels on one side that are available to you. Oddly sized and smaller photos typically don't do very well here.
The blue bowl in the foreground is too pastel to compete with the other photos in this challenge that really BURST. Good job getting the background totally black, but this shot just doesn't 'pop' which is vital in a challenge about pop. |

I like the different patterns on the bowls. Good colors. I wish the image itself was larger though. For me, seeing an image larger has a greater impact. |
