This shot would be so much more effective if you would have braved a closer shot and an interesting angle. With the snowfalling all around (a bonus, IMHO) a tighter view of the street musician would be oh so much more intriquing.

Oh, where are the PETA people with their spray paint??? :) OH, there's more than mink coat here! There in lies the problem with this shot....too much to take in. Very busy and the tree with the lights appears to be coming out of Ms Mink #1's head. It's all about positioning.

Crossing Struggle

The use of B&W makes this shot appear flat because your whites are too harsh (note the paper in his pocket....so bright my eyes keep being drawn to it.) and the sky has no depth to it at all, just a flat gray square dominating your upper left corner. The heavy black framing binds it all in and I feel is too much border for this shot.

My comment was meant in a good way.....body hair aside, it was difficult to tell if the model (you) was male or female and I thought that added to the shot, in my humble opinion.
