The technicals: The focus is there, but the image is quite soft for two reasons. 1) You are using the 50mm 1.8 at 1.8 (that leads to some softening) and the 1/50th shutter speed probably led to a little motion blur. It's not the end of the world, but it does detract some from the image.

The feel: I do like the vertical composition and the interesting lights in the top half. The woman, our subject, is lost however a bit against the dark car. We do not see her face which is a negative as well. Street photography should be capturing the human condition. This means, to me, either an interesting happening, or a mundane scene which also shows something in the face of the people captured. This shot lacks that aspect which is probably crucial. (BTW, I gave it a 5, mainly for the interesting lights)

The game: See the feel. I think that's what people were looking for. A third option was to capture a nostalgia or an interesting geometric pattern. MAK's bike scene which ribboned would be the first of those two.

With the subject's face not visible, it's hard to connect to this photograph.

I think this would be a nice shot but the focus just seems a little off.

Oh, where are the PETA people with their spray paint??? :) OH, there's more than mink coat here! There in lies the problem with this shot....too much to take in. Very busy and the tree with the lights appears to be coming out of Ms Mink #1's head. It's all about positioning.

Very cool...this has the feeling of an old black and white. Nicely executed.

Night shot, nice! So much to see in this photo, I like all of the activity, and the difficult exposure is well executed. I wish the primary subjects' poses were more interesting, but the little girl in the background is a nice element. 7

PS, Detroit, eh?

There's no real focal point in this one.

Had to take a few looks to make sure this wasn't taken in the 60's (the taxi and the ford were confirmation). I love the recreation of an old feel.. excellent shot!
