Lost On A Closed Trackby ndsComment: I never expected such a high score for this shot and I think, this one doesn't deserve it. But nevertheless thank you very much for your highly interesting comments. A lot of them are completely oppositional. Some of you like the colored umbrella, others would like the shot better without it. My first choice for this challenge was this shot: //www.200bar.de/nds/show_pic.php?id=111 . Unfortunately I didn't achieve the desired effect without without spot editing. So I had to submit this IMO a little poor photo... |

Katherine's bridgeby robsterComment: O.K., you are creative and tried for a different and unique shot, but I don't like the result. Don't get my wrong: IMHO there is nothing to say at all against nudity, I just don't like this one I see here. Mostly I dislike the posture of the model, the position looks like (...don't know the english words for my thoughts...). The direct lighting from above ist to strong and causes partial overexposion. Additionally I'm not sure about your decision to add this blur and grainy effect. But that's yust me ;-) |

A Few of LA's Arteriesby takethatComment: Interesting and IMHO well done composition / cropping, I like it. Perhaps some more contrasts or structures (clouds) in the sky could have been helpful here, but I can't change the weather too ;-) Good luck for the challenge - 9 |

No Turning On Bridgeby autoolComment: Great perspective, your composition makes this usual modern bridge an interesting shot. Good eye to catch this! |

Extending Over the Severn Estuaryby KonadorComment: Wow, a bridge as a frame for itself - good eye to catch this highly interesting perspective! The cropping is well done, I like the slightly color tone too. Or is it just B&W and my eyes are fooling ;-)? Could be a great location for model photography too. Good luck for the challenge, this is one of my favorites! |

Brooklyn Bridgeby dimitriiComment: Strange, but highly interesting perspective and composition. The use of such a super wide angel lens works great here. IMHO a little more interesting structure / contrast in the sky could have been helpful, but I can't change the weather myself too :-) Good luck for the challenge! - 9 |

A Bridge above the othersby andrewlrComment: Congrats on this creative shot! It's refreshing to see a different and unique picture among all the "usual" bridges. Personally I like the result of your work very much (voted 10). IMO the color and composition are well chosen, the technical execution is well done too. I'm not completely sure, how you did it. My first thought was double exposure. But where the light stripes out of the lamps are coming from? Now I think, you changed the camera position on the tripod. But then the stripes should be vertical. Did you rotated it additionally? However (I come back in a week) a highly interesting photo. Thanks for sharing and giving me food for thought!!! Good luck for the challenge!

Perspectiveby kretsComment: This is one of my favorites this week. A very clear and brilliant picture, I like your composition too. IMHO there is nearly nothing, what you could have done better. O.K., perhaps it could be a little better without the hidden car behind the balustrade or you could have waited for a bus or truck, which is better visible. But that's only marginal! Good luck for the challenge! |

Amnestied by ndsComment: Thanks again to all of you!
I had some trouble with the sharpness of the staples in this shot. The original photo has a good focus and I didn’t sharpen that much after resizing. But already by using the lowest level of the “sharpen filter” in PhotoImpact, the staples are looking a little oversharpened (but the egg itself doesn’t). Does somebody know the reason? Perhaps I had the problem because of the gleamy material of the staples?
As I can see in the comments, some of you don’t understand the title. Maybe I didn’t found the correct english word. On Sunday morning I didn’t wanted to eat my egg and the idea of reclosing an opened egg was born. This decision was a kind of reprieve or amnesty for the egg ;-)
Btw: An amnestied prisoner never will be the same person after the end of his captivity. The time without freedom will leave it’s mark. But perhaps this is too much interpretation of an simple egg shot :-)

Dreams of having a house & family by gigi922Comment: Congrats on the win Gigi, you found the real despair out there. I tried to give my shot a message too, but it is only staged. I feel highly shocked and deeply moved by looking on your picture. I know, that such living conditions are existing in the world, but such a photo brings that powerful back to my mind. |
