Seeing this for the first time. Awesome work. At first, I thought the title was something to do with finding eggs in a nest.

Holy cow, that's awesome! Great idea! I think amnesty is the perfect word... or Freggenstein ... Frankenegg ... something like that. Anyway, your patience paid off, beautiful shot!

I didn't have the chance to vote this last week because I was out of town, but this definitely would have gotten a 10 from me. Beautiful, creative image. Congrats on the ribbon.

Thanks again to all of you!

I had some trouble with the sharpness of the staples in this shot. The original photo has a good focus and I didn’t sharpen that much after resizing. But already by using the lowest level of the “sharpen filter” in PhotoImpact, the staples are looking a little oversharpened (but the egg itself doesn’t). Does somebody know the reason? Perhaps I had the problem because of the gleamy material of the staples?

As I can see in the comments, some of you don’t understand the title. Maybe I didn’t found the correct english word. On Sunday morning I didn’t wanted to eat my egg and the idea of reclosing an opened egg was born. This decision was a kind of reprieve or amnesty for the egg ;-)
Btw: An amnestied prisoner never will be the same person after the end of his captivity. The time without freedom will leave it’s mark. But perhaps this is too much interpretation of an simple egg shot :-)

Sharp focus, and a clever political message to boot. Try experimenting with different backgrounds to really enhance the objects.

The narrowing of the cup at the bottom is a problem, try cutting some of the bottom off.

You have WAY TOO MUCH time on your hands!!! Stapling together an egg?? WOW!! Great texture on the shell - nice brown egg/black eggcup combination. I can't believe you did this - incredible!! 9

Very cool! It seems to be just a bit over sharpened. I love the idea though.

I don't understand the title. The shot is interesting, but it kind of leaves me hanging about the meaning. Those staples look like a lot of work! If you can send me a message making some sense out of the title, I will raise the score.

The texture is what made me vote ten on this shot. Plus the engaging subject matter. Great range of earth tone colors too.

Had the egg been standing alone, without the base, this would have been a 10 for me. Truly creative and wonderful focus.

This looks so much better full-sized than in the thumbnail - brilliant, creative and (I imagine) technically tricky work. Amazing detail, focus and lighting - an unhesitatant 10/10.
