Hello and welcome Robster......your first challenge!

Fits The Challenge- Sure if the photographer thinks so and calls this Katherine's bridge then that is what it is. Time will tell as we see more photos from this artist.
Composition- I like it.
Background- I like the natural setting for this nature shot.
My Opinion- I like the soft focus/noise. Giving the benefit of doubt, it's intended here. You know nudes don't have to be so _in_ your face 100% of the time. This all works, the colors, the girl....all soft and muted. Nice job.

I'm impressed by the fact that I think you managed to push every score lowering button that dpc is infamous for. You've got a soft focus, high grain, blatent nudity, and a stretched interpretation of the challenge. With that considered I'd say beating out 3 other people is a pretty good finish. =P In all seriousness though, I do like the colors of this shot and I think it walks an interesting line between being abstract and straight forward. I'm not sure what I would have scored it (I didn't vote), but as you said, it's an experiment, and I'm of the opinion that almost any experimentation is a good thing, this shot includes. Good luck on future challenges. Don't ditch edginess for your scores if you can help it.

I have a feeling that this won't score especially high this week, but there are a few of us who will give bonus points for naked babes :) In all seriousness, I think it is a bit washed out, but it's certainly a nice refreshing shot for the challenge.

Nice abstract look

The idea is nice, but
1) you probably had to promise Katherine that she would not be in focus, as a consequence you have a poor picture, since nothing here is in focus
2) a bridge is going from somewhere to someplace else. In this picture Katherine is not 'bridging' anything.
Any points that this picture gets go to Katherine rather than to you as photographer.

you would think at least Something would be in focus...or at least SOFT focus.
I'll leave this one for the liberals.

bad pose. poorly executed
03/14/2003 04:15:14 PM
focus focus focus...Unless it was designed to be a blurrrrr

She has beautiful hair, a nice slim figure, but I'm j u s t not seeing a bridge pic here. I assume theirs a bridge to the left of this pic. It's not even in focus. I'll give you a 2 for your effort. Actually put her on a bridge, in focus, and I bet your pic would get a l o t more attention.

Well, it's nicely shaped but too out of focus to comment on. . .

Unusual approach to this challenge. I can see how this can be taken by folks to be of poor taste. I don't think this fuzzy of a photo will ever do very well here. Naked chicks are cool, but I was really caught off guard by this photo which I'm sure was part of your intention. It looks like a photo taken in the '20s. Interpretive way to portray a bridge, however I don't feel its terrible effective either.

O.K., you are creative and tried for a different and unique shot, but I don't like the result. Don't get my wrong: IMHO there is nothing to say at all against nudity, I just don't like this one I see here. Mostly I dislike the posture of the model, the position looks like (...don't know the english words for my thoughts...). The direct lighting from above ist to strong and causes partial overexposion. Additionally I'm not sure about your decision to add this blur and grainy effect. But that's yust me ;-)

A stretch for the challenge, but very well done. 6.

Original. I am fairly fond of this.

This is an interesting image... I really like the softness and the blur... nice work :) - setzler

where does it take you?

I would like toknow what you were thinking when you took this image, this is offensive and wrong. Children come to this sight to enter their images, if you want to do this why don't you go to some sort of adult web site. It may be blured but is still very clear what your subject is and what it represents. I hope you are disqualified!
03/10/2003 07:14:42 PM
Is the heavy pixelation on purpose? I kinda like and kinda dont. Nice nudity! While I do get the idea of the "bridge" of her back, this seems like a reach for the challenge. 5 Swash

LOL, yeah. I will admit the longer you look the more it could be a bridge out in the forrest. Pretty good I guess. Hope the neighbors weren't peeking over your fence. :)
03/10/2003 04:51:10 PM
More detail would have been nice :-)
03/10/2003 03:20:15 PM
very, very, very good, this is the loveliest bridge of them all, surely a 10
03/10/2003 02:33:31 PM
Just if all bridges vere like this
03/10/2003 02:32:38 PM
nice but its alil blurry.
03/10/2003 08:06:08 AM
Creative!!!
03/10/2003 01:56:14 AM
You will probably score low (unfortunatly), but you get a 8 from me. I think the composition is great, the softwness is wonderful, and the lighting is good. Good luck.

Nice bridge,but, I can't see the road!
