I'm not sure what to say about this photo. The framing and composition are excellent. With that said, the noise level is horrible. There is no detail in the picture anywhere. Was this a mistake, on purpose, or a young photographer learning a new camera?

Great use of limited DOF on this shot. The focus is right on. The composition is excellent to really make a point. I could totally see this on the front page of a newspaper. The tones seem just a bit off to me. It's like the curve is leaning more toward the right side of the histrogram, and there is not enough present on the left. Still, with that, this is an excellent shot. Definitely a top 10.

This is a very nice shot with all of the right elements. The sports side of it is great, and the technicals of photography also are here. The centered composition I think works well for this shot.

Excellent swimming photo. The clarity of the photo is excellent. The colors are processed well and the use of a quick shutter speed to capture the moment really makes this shot stand out above the rest.

Little problems of a little champion...

Well, it's about a sport. The colors and lighting are excellent. I just wish there was action in the shot. When I think of a sports shot, I think of something like you would see on the cover or Sports Illustrated or on the front page of the newspaper. The quality of this photo is good, but it doesn't seem to have that same "wow" factor.

Interesting picture. All I can do is look at it and ask myself, "Where are the wheels on that thing?" I really like the shadow underneath him and the waves in the background.

What a great shot of old people playing what looks like an old person sport. I love it. The colors are awesome on this shot, and the contrast perfect.

Interesting subject, but I think it is a bit of a stretch for a sports challenge. The composition is a bit too centered. The colors are nice, but it's almost as if the shutter speed was just a bit too slow, and the aperature too stopped down to really make the cheetahs pop from the background.
