This is a shot of my friend playing in the mud. It did not turn out very good but after adjusting the brightness I decided I really liked it so that is all I did in edit was adjust the bright ness.

Post:
Its true I was going for a more abstract picture I did not intend for it to be so blurry but after I looked at it more the more I liked it so nobody (well a couple) quite got the idea but thats ok I am not putting to much effort these days to winning a ribbon, its just for the fun of photograhy!

Congrats on the Oobie. Certainly a different view on the art. I gave it a one and appreciate it more now the limitations of the challenge have been removed.... challenges are so limiting ;-)

Personally I love the blurry, but would have appreciated less noise. Colors/brightness are great as well.

now this, i like. it reminds somwhat of a trick we used to do in art college. if you tear a polaroid off its backing as soon as it's developed, you can slap it down on some nice watercolour paper, run it through a press (or just stand on it), and you get an image very close to this in appearance. i'd love to see this 10 feet high on a gallery wall. a big gallery.

the cmposition works really well, and his positioning is wonderful - you can feel the pause to get the breath, holding hte wet arms out form his sides. great work, well done in doing what you wanted, rather than what you know will score well.

Blurriness is now expressive?

I don't understand how the quality of this picture could be so bad. Is it a picture of a newspaper picture? Hmmm Sorry it doesn't work here. Better luck next time.

this is really not a good photo - pixelated and blurry - probably going for a brown ribbon so I won't vote

I suppose you are going for brown with this - but I'll just skip voting on it.

You'll have a hard time scoring high with an image like this on this site, but there are a few of us who appreciate and enjoy the abstract, artsy quality of it. Not really a sense of action, so the applicability to the challenge is shaky without the title, but it is otherwise a very interesting shot.

This has too much noise and soft focus.

Overly noisey, out of focus......

The graininess and blurriness is extremly overbearing.

Nice as art almost?

I'm not sure what to say about this photo. The framing and composition are excellent. With that said, the noise level is horrible. There is no detail in the picture anywhere. Was this a mistake, on purpose, or a young photographer learning a new camera?

I am not convinced that this is Rugby, or even muddy. I can't even tell if there is even a sport related picture here.

Don't give up, just get better.

Now, *that* is a noisy pic! The guy is still recognizable as human, though, so I can't give it a 1.
