taken at the St. Louis Zoo lat weekend. There were three cheetah cubs and their mom running around, and I had a good time taking the best shots I could despite a lack of telephoto lens.

Interesting take on the challenge.

Compositionally, this shot is okay. The cheetahs are in the lower half of the frame which makes it feel balanced, and the two visible ones are not centered but in the right hand running left, so there is room for them to go. The tail on the left is a bit distracting, but funny. What may have made it even more humorous is to chop part of the tail of the one to the far right. To me, then , it would look like the sides of the picture would 'match up' in a rather humorous juxtaposition.

Technically, the shot is a little soft and needs a touch of contrast or saturation, I think. Also, the trees in the background seem to be slightly tilted to the left, just a touch making it seem as if they are running down hill (perhaps they are).

As mentioned before, I find this a creative, interesting approach to the challenge. It is not a sport as we know it, but rather one that is being played by non-humans. Unfortunately, that may have hurt in some of the scores.

Nice work, and if I need to further explain or clarify myself, please feel free to contact me.

Heh! I like just the tail on the left. Looks like a good game of chase.

What sport is this. Adding a sport title to your photo does not make it a sport.

The random tail on the left is strange, I don't see why you shouldn't crop it out. Otherwise, a respectable capture of these animals - not really a traditional sport, we'll see how it does in this challenge.

Animals running only qualifies as sport if humans are wagering on the outcome :)

Sports? Naaaaaaa.

Interesting capture, but I would have cropped the tail out of the picture as it makes your eye leave the page.

First of all, when I think of sports, I think of humans.

Even if an animal is included, there should be a human.

Secondly, this comp sucks. I can care less for the rear end of an animal. The far left tail could of been at the very least cleaned up and cropped out. the color is ok, image could be crisper, light is flat, texture ok.

Don't give up, just do better.

I would use a longer shutter, follow animals, take lots of pics and hope for the best. Could have made a great shot with the forest all green just blurring together for a great sense of speed and separation between animal and background.

Interesting subject, but I think it is a bit of a stretch for a sports challenge. The composition is a bit too centered. The colors are nice, but it's almost as if the shutter speed was just a bit too slow, and the aperature too stopped down to really make the cheetahs pop from the background.
