Santa's Apprenticeby mpetersComment: I like the concept - Santa's apprentice searching the globe. I'm not sure though that I believe the glow is from a candle. Just doesn't have (for me) the 'warmth' of candlelight. Unless it is very big candle. As I said though, except for the harsh glow, I like it. (Afterthought--- would like to see it without the dark shadow above the cap.) |

Still Lifeby STEINRComment: Nostalgic... the weathered books, inking jar, old time glasses and that candle holder... just makes me want to curl up with a Charles Dickens book or something. And the tilding candle just adds to it here. I think if it were perfectly straight, in this setting, it wouldn't look right. |

All Gathered Roundby RentrenzComment: I like it... different, but that's not a bad thing. That you turned it sideways gives pause for a hmmmm...... I think had it been left horizontal it would probably not caught my as quick. Love the little bubbles within that are reflected by the candle. I also keep waiting for them to roll off the table... then we could hear... 'I've lost my marbles!' :-) |

Wish You Were Hereby AntanasComment: Very romantic! Love the reflections of the floating candles, it helps to set it off so there is not this big dark space. That you have all that room around your tub... well... I'm jealous!! :-) |

Burning Sensualityby FotoMunkiComment: Concept is great... only thing I would change is to use a red candle and maybe hold it higher a little bit, so that the shadow on the right is not so 'shadowy'. ;-) |

The Candle's in the Bag (Luminaria)by RistyzComment: Loved this one! The eye naturally follows the path, and the colors are wonderful, they also highlight the differing textures, which to me is a big plus. |

101_0160 bw.jpgby KaveyComment: B/W Group -
Am glad you tried this in B/W, I like it better than the color. The B/W adds more 'character' to it and to me the subject matter just begs to have character... I mean, it's a wharf! Think of all the stories that it could tell, if able.
With that though, I would love to see this image pop a little more in the darker areas. I know the original blended in too, but wonder what this would look like with maybe a tinge more contrast. Think I will add this to my DPC_BWGroup_todo list, if you don't mind, just to test it and see what I come up with.
Why can't my town have cool places, things to image?! :D

Self Portrait with Go To Hell Hatby muckpondComment: Okay, who besides me, has looked at this photo and thought... Rob Thomas! Are you sure your last name is Elliott?! ;-)
And just to be sure of what I was seeing, had my sister, my mom and 2 of my nephews check it out. We all agree....
BradP isn't the only famous face here apparently! :D

spacepods.jpgby FalcComment: B/W Group -
I'm not sure what these are, but they look too cool! Title is perfect, for that is what they look like. :)
I would love to see not such starkness to the white structure. Read your comment about why you exagerated this, personally though, would like that part more muted, so that the pods stand out even further.
Will have to look up what these are, they really are too cool. :)
