I think that this may have been better before the sun set so low. If the sun was still halfway in the frame you would have had more light. The picture is great, don't get me wrong. But for the title, Dark and Light, there isn't much light IMO. I like the people on the dock. I think that they add interest. The clouds are nice, just not enough contrast in them for me. Maybe if you played with levels a bit. I'm not sure if you should mess with it at all though. Overall, this is a nice picture and good luck in future challenges.

This picture has so many clouds that I can't see the sky at all. I think that what makes a great sky picture is an abundance of clouds but also the separation of clouds and sky. There needs to be more land visible. It looks like you punch up the contrast yourself, I can tell by the photo without reading your comments. There is also grain visible, maybe that was your intent. It looks like the the far left hand corner there is some sunlight trying to peek through the clouds, I would have focused on that. As far as your title, There is dark, but not much light. Skylines are not easy pictures to take. It is alot of sit and wait for the right cloud formation and you also have to have a great landscape sometimes to go with it. I would say to keep trying! Look up and shoot until you get that perfect shot! Good luck in future challenges!! I hope this was helpful.

Nice photo, with great details. This type of shot is very common. It has been done many times and that might be what hurt your score. Even though it is a great picture. I like everything about it. Maybe if you chose a different angle, like shoot the leave from the side with the dew drop dripping off. Sometimes if you just shoot the same subject but in a different way it doesn't seem so common. The damage on the leaf is not a big deal to me. It would have been really neat to have the insect that was eating the leaf still present! Overall, you the picture is nice, just has no "it" factor. Good luck in future challenges.

Oh! I can't believe that I have to critique another photo that doesn't need any suggestions!! This picture is wonderful. The colors are perfect. The detail is great. If I have to make a suggestion, I would say that I wish the portion of the leaf in the left hand corner was in focus and that you change the title. JK! LOL I do not find snails delicious! Yuck! Great job on this photo!

WONDERFUL!!! I shouldn't be the one to give you a critique because I see no improvement needed! You hit the nail on the head with the theme on this one. The lines are awesome! The angle is perfect, maybe puch up the contrast a bit, but that is just my personal preference. I would like to see this before you desaturated it. Did it have bright colors? The colors might have given it an extra "punch". Great job! You are awesome!!
