The image seems a bit dirty -- perhaps from compression? Or was it taken through glass?

I see too much white space, the image seems a bit off-balance. The idea is good, but I would have liked to see something different.

I've been giving low scores to plant pictures -- but oh, how i love ferns. You've captured it just right. The lighting and framing is there -- the fern is almost in motion as it unfurls to the space to the right.

I've never seen a kitchen look so neat -- I'm hungry now though.

The subject and its color are great, but the lack of focus is greatly annoying.

The colors are great. So intense -- great image. The starkness of the white on the blood-orange sky. Wonderful. I wonder how you go the sky so orange and the lights so bright?

I think the title is the best part. Nice contrast ratio.

Nice framing and great lines. I love the texture of the sand as well.

I'm always frustrated by the large number of cliche pictures -- where people all seem to have the same idea. I guess it's not the fault of the photographer, how would they know what others are going to do? It's a very attractive image, nicely framed and the colors are right.

My problem is more that there are a ton of other sea/beach/sun pictures in this contest. For me, it doesn't speak very loudly about the topic.

I swear this is an identical chess set to another image I just voted on -- hrm. In fact, this looks like the same move and lighting, just a different angle.
