Beginning of a good game... This is a nice shot. Lighting and focus are good. I don't care for the upper left corner of the backdrop. It starts to change colors. There are also some spots in the background on the right side. If the background had been all black, I would have bumped it a point or two. |

I assume this to be from the same photographer as "your turn...". Regardless this image works better for me. |

better composed than the other glass chess set image - appropriate, v pretty, great lighting, but not particularly adventurous. |

Nicely taken.. there is some noise in the backgroun that could be removed by setting the black point in curves. (If you're using photoshop)

OK, but on my computer it looks like the backdrop reflected in the top left. Otherwise, sound. I like it! |

I swear this is an identical chess set to another image I just voted on -- hrm. In fact, this looks like the same move and lighting, just a different angle. |

The novelty of these glass chess boards is beginning to wear off for me. It's a pretty shot. I think I would have cropped it so that the white pawn is on its own. Any chess player would get it. This owuld cut out rows of slightly out of focus men. And it would provide a greater sense of drama 'one against many.' |

I love pictures like this where it is so sharp that it looks 3 dimensional. Something I always strive for but have trouble achieving. Awesome picture! |
