Sour Spaghetti Candiesby Pep VentosaComment: The faux-bacteria thing is great. They look like chromosomes on a gene chart actually. Great concept and very well executed. - 9 |

Candy Fallingby sagestudioComment: This photo has a strange surrealism about it. Its very high key and everything is a little blurry. It really has the illusion of being a painting though, and a good one at that. |

Taste the Rainbow...by RiderGalComment: You had me on the thumbnail, but lost me on the picture. It just isn't very clear and sharp like I was expecting. |

Tic-tacby pitsamanComment: Those "orange" mints (I've never understood what that is exactly) look more like roma tomatoes with a spit shine. Good framing and I like the dumping out effect. |

Easter Kissesby daysezComment: I don't like the background. I think its too busy for this basket which is pretty busy itself in a cute way. I think a lot of the reason I don't like the background is because at the top of the basket it doesn't look like it really should be there. It looks kind of fake in other words. |

Play doh Piby CreativeFlyPhotoComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
By Inspzil
Composition - Overall composition of this photo is not particularly strong. Basically it just lacks anything terribly interesting, not that it is bad either. Just not too much dynamic about it. Colors are a nice contrast so that the pi symbol shows up good. I'm not sure why its resting on a muffin paper cup. I feel it meets the challenge. This is a pretty difficult concept to put on "film" so I sympathize with you that way. I did not enter.
Technical - A little overexposed for my tastes. Color representation is good. The DOF could've been better with a higher F-number which I feel is pretty important in this photo. I don't see any particular reason why the shallow DOF was used, but maybe there is one. Personally I'd have turned the aperture shut as much as possible and just really used a lot of light to compensate. It doesn't look like you were short on light at all.
Overall - Not a bad photo but it doesn't have the visual impact to really grab anyone and make them notice it. I don't really have much for suggestions without radically changing the composition of the photo. THe biggest advice I have is to turn the F-number up to allow the entire image to be in focus. That being said, I bid you farewell and best of luck in future challenges - Inspzil |

Nature's Candyby myqylComment: Too dark. I'm not too keen on the idea, but the pic definitely needs a little more light to bring out the colors in the berries and other fruits effectively. Well laid out though. |

Red Hot Dreamby GraciousComment: Good idea. Could've been shot just a little better though. Seems a little muddy in terms of clarity. |
