this is a great shot. nicely balanced. sky is very interesting and balanced. my only criticism is that it seems too sharpened to me. was it?

nice. perhaps without the house it might be more surreal. had you been able to bounce some light in between the front two trees to reveal the object there might also have added to the overall effect. not sure what that object is and would like to.

Sincere thanks to everyone who took the time to comment on this shot and give such positive feedback. The DPC community is very cool and it's really great to be part of it. I only wish, as Iâm sure everybody does, that there were more time in a day to spend here.

OK, as far as the title goes, which seemed be more controversial than shooting with an IR filter (although IR shots do seem to get people excited in one way or another), please know that I meant no disrespect to the "residents" there. Yeah itâs weird, but can we all agree that the âmenu optionsâ in this serene setting have changed? And if so, just imagine listening closelyâ¦

Obviously not in any way, shape or form comparing this to Picassoâs work, but what we are all doing here on DPC is Art, right? Or at the very least, art. Either way, I think something he said might be appropriate: âArt washes away from the soul the dust of everyday lifeâ. Certainly that silly recording that we are forced to listen to when we call a business while we're simply trying to âcommunicateâ but are, from the onset, thwarted by this audio "roadblock", could be defined as âdust of everyday lifeâ. Or maybe even dirt.

The overall softening is very cool. The running lights are exposed nicely and the shadows and/or reflections on the hood are really interesting, too. Would make a great product shot, but as far as the challenge goes it seems like the tracks are almost an afterthought as your title implies. Might be more on the challenge had you waited for a train to pass and caught it with some blurring.
