Crossing The Lineby bongoComment: Love the use of the yellow line to add such strong colour and to add perspective too. Addition of lights in black sky really makes this toy car picture more complete than the rest. Nice composition too. 9 |

Little white houseby nico_blueComment: Simplicity is superb and aided greatly by expanse of clean white background and use of everyday biro to provide scale. Just the presence of that biro has me imaging this little house and flowers on someone's desk - a momento of a special day or trip - a muse they look at when needing a mental break. Nicely composed. 9 |

day of the chelsea bunby whiteroomComment: Love the surreal edge to this and could see this hanging in a national gallery exhibit. Wonderful composition with the light area at the top right absolutely essential to the balance. Did you eat the bun? 10 |

Gone Fish'in by debitiptonComment: Absolutely wonderful use of colour - I particularly like how the blue is at the bottom and the green at the top in a reversal of the familiar position of sky and grass in so many shots. Is the blue a napkin wrapped around the bowl? The vivid orange works superbly with the blue and green and I also notice how the miniature figuresd have the same blue in their clothes. Composition is superb as is DOF. One of my favourites. 10 |

Addictionby digistouneComment: Nice rotation and close crop works well. Seems quite pink to me (and I don't think it's my monitor calibration but would be willing to consider that it might be). 8 |

Wee Dramby gandersComment: Like the simplicity of this image. Whilst the glass is for wine and the bottle contains whisky this doesn't really matter as it's more about the combination of two glass objects to show scale. The shadow on the lower right background is subtle and adds a touch of depth. The angle of the bottle in the glass provides a strong composition. I like the choice of sepia tone. I'd prefer slightly more diffused light to give softer edges to the hard white reflections on the bottle but wouldn't want to lose them altogether as I think the image does need a touch more lighter tones overall. 9 |

Take A Moment : There are plenty left.by CuriousComment: The muted colours of the gnome work well against the faded wood. The composition, with diagonal coming up ffrom same corner that is "weighted" by gnome is great, especially with verticals from fence. Like the shallow DOF. 9 |

The War to End All Warsby sysop912Comment: Isn't it sad that so many soldiers gave their lives back then because they believed it would be the war to end all wars. What would they think of their descendants if they could see the world now? Nicely done with good composition, good attention to depth and good choice of toned black and white. 8 |

Knight in actionby morpurgoComment: Nice use of shallow DOF to create real depth. Composition works well - particularly in terms of placement of diagonal sword and round sheild towards upper right third. 9 |
