Me A Name I Call Myselfby riotspyneComment: This is a very appealing portrait. Good composition, relaxed & natural pose, and nice lighting. Is it a bit over-sharp? Nah ... the treatment seems just right to me. 7 |

Blurred Interlude by jjbeguinComment: Good idea, flawlessly executed. The subject's pose, examining the spectacles, is equally thoughtful, not just for its originality but also because it creates the opportunity to feature the hands as well as the head. Maybe the "frame" and it's associated foreground props is just a bit too dominant or too busy? 7. |

Meditationby DiscraftComment: This is obviously an appropriate use of this photographic technique. It's also extremely well done on the part of both the photographer and the subject. 7. |

Inner demonsby dragonladyComment: I wish you hadn't called it "Inner demons", because I keep sneaking back for another look, wondering what they are. None of my business, is what they are. Anyway, it is a very compelling portrait with a really effective composition. It has a rather stark feeling to it, but with that title I guess it was meant to. 7. |

Proud Papaby JackoComment: Terrific idea, masterfully executed as usual. (I mean the photo, although it looks pretty certain that your beautiful new baby was equally well conceived, captured and processed). Congratulations on both counts. 8. |

Ceceliaby ccaseyComment: I love this, and not just because you look like Kathryn Hepburn (well, like she did in about the 1930's). Both the pose and the photographic treatment seem exactly right for your subject. 8. |

Layer mask by kiwinessComment: Such clear eyes ... don't you ever drink? Great idea & clearly the most visually startling image of the challenge. 8. |

Boxesby utroComment: This is not only a very clever idea, it's very well done. I'm not really a fan of what I usually (and probably unfairly) regard as "gimmicky" shots, but this one really does work. Maybe it's the alarming lower torso amputation, but it's also the fact that the actual portrait shot is very good; at least a 6 on its own. Add 1 for the idea + 1 for the execution = 8. |

At homeby MambeComment: This is a beautiful portrait. Wonderful pose; using the window not just for its light, but also as a prop and as a graphic device in this very skilful composition. Camera work excellent & processing (if any) unobtrusive. Intelligent and mature photography. 9. |
