Eye Shadowby FotoMunkiComment: Great catch! Sharp, well focused image of this hummingbird. Some decent bokeh working in the background. Should do ok with this. Good luck. |

Seagullby OdieComment: This is a wonderful photograph! Sharp, well focused, great color pop with the yellow. Love the DOF to isolate the primary subject. Not seeing much for bokeh in here, but don't worry I'm just browsing. ;^) Good luck! |

"The hard way is the right way."by br o kenl o veComment: I don't think your bg is far enough removed from the focal point to create any bokeh. Another factor is there isn't any backlighting to help generate interesting bokeh. Sorry. Good luck in the challenge. |

Happinessby bucketComment: I hope you've put this in a frame somewhere. It's a wonderful, fun capture of this young fella. I'm hard pressed to find any bokeh in this shot however. Don't worry...not voting, just browsing. ;^) Good luck. |

morning sun on fernby U622Comment: I have an outtake similar to this. ;^) I like the way you composed this with the diagonal across the image. The shadows on the main fern are kinda cool, from the leaves above). Not really seeing too much bokeh in here (you've probably already heard that...).
Good luck in the challenge. |

hamilton-gardens---doves.jpgby peppersprayComment: The doves in this shot seem to glow. So white. You did a nice job of exposing this image. Tricky to get decent shots midday without really harsh shadows, but you pulled it off here. One thing you might consider is an alternate crop/composition by positioning the doves in the upper right thirds grid, or lower right thirds grid (they seem a bit too centered). Use the angle of the roof as a leading line.
Smile and keep having fun! ;^) |

Lonely Cornerby Penny LaneComment: I like your choice of subject matter for this entry, and your choice of post-processing in B/W. The faceplates on the wall next to the subject are a bit distracting but not sure how you could get around them. Maybe since it was advanced editing they could have been removed as a distracting element?
Smile and keep having fun! ;^) |
