Shot around midday on my first outing with my new camera. :-)

Adjustments were all done to the raw file in PS CS2 and included a little sharpening, slight temperature/tint adjustments, and curves.

Reduced size and saved for web.

If anyone has any constructive criticisms, I would be very grateful. Be brutal if need be, I'm tough enough.

Cheers!

The doves in this shot seem to glow. So white. You did a nice job of exposing this image. Tricky to get decent shots midday without really harsh shadows, but you pulled it off here. One thing you might consider is an alternate crop/composition by positioning the doves in the upper right thirds grid, or lower right thirds grid (they seem a bit too centered). Use the angle of the roof as a leading line.

Smile and keep having fun! ;^)

Thank you, Sandy. :-)

Is it really true about alarm clocks? I try to ignore mine as much as possible, but I can accommodate it methinks. It'd be character building! Yeah!

...if only mornings would come around a little bit later in the day...

I love your photos Petra :) The only suggestion I would make would be the "midday" thing. The first thing my photography mentor told me (and tells me OFTEN) is that the most important piece of camera equipment you will ever use is an alarm clock :) There's something about midday -- even on an overcast day -- that causes harsh light and shadows on photos.

And maybe I would crop your photos down a little so the subject is more prominent.

Good luck. . .and welcome to dpChallenge! I can't wait to see some of your challenge entries :)
