Champagne Wishesby YoungerComment: Wow mom, top ten on your first submission! Not surprized but, cool! Congratulations!!
Really creative problem solving to get the champagn and suspended motion look and the lighting. Too bad not a member challenge so you could darken the base of the glass. I really like the satin, elegant and different from the typical black.
Nice work! |

24kt dipby beafliesComment: Thank so much all. I know this is sort of a minimal win (5th is big for me) with so much thanks to the subject itself. Unfortunatly the conditions were too limited to get a really decent shot. The lighting was really limited, they do not allow flash or tripods on the tour because of delicate antiques and narrow stairways. Also you are rushed from place to place, very little time to scope the scene and set up a shot. The ideal shot for this pool is stright up the line of the pool to the 3 windows in the back, but the whole right side of the pool is lined with guard rails and tourists! dang! I wanted to apply some glow to it but figured that was illegal in open challenges.
Hey, 5th, wow thanks! (I owe it all to my mumy who is great photographer and needs to post much more of her work!) Message edited by author 2005-08-14 14:11:27. |

room with a viewby beafliesComment: Thanks for all the compliments, I'm just glad it did as well as this. Very much a last minute shot with sunset at 815p.
Propped up a mirror with a dark wood board behind to look like a portal window on a wall. Cloned the bottom (poorly) and played with the contrast and saturation a bit.
I'm blessed, the view here is always beautiful! |

Room full of colors by terjeComment: Could you explain the lense you used? Is the Aspherical DG to correct for warped appearances of wide-angle views? Just beginning to learn about lenses and filters since I do not own an SLR - yet!
Thank you and Congrats! this was one of my favorites
