This is almost a perfect shot. You have captured the real essence of new innocence, wonder and beauty in the image. The DOF has been used to great effect, the lighting is perfect and the feelings of serenity and contentment flood from the picture. But, and it's only a small but, the background is just not far enough out of focus to stop the eye being drawn away from all that foreground beautyâ€Â¦ This is only a personal opinion; good luck (8)â€Â¦

Hey, I wondered how many babies I'd see. Before I start - I'm scoring this 10. I had decided before I stared voting that babies were too obvious, and that I’d score them down because of a lack of invention. But, boy, this is one fantastic picture. The purity and innocence positively shine out of this shot. It has it all, it’s technically well done, it captures the challenge and of course – it gets the ooooh voteâ€Â¦ I don’t think luck comes into this, but good luckâ€Â¦ If it isn’t in the top 5 I’ll be surprisedâ€Â¦

Magic – possible winnerâ€Â¦ Composition is outstanding, use of macro is outstanding the DOF is perfection and the content is stunning. Could have been cut out of 'National Geographic' and it meets the challenge with aplombâ€Â¦ Easy 10++â€Â¦ Good luck, if this doesn't appear right up there with the best I'll be very surprised.

This is a wonderful photographâ€Â¦ The colours are remarkable, the background works superbly and the subject is exquisite. The dark colours at the back really bring out the featuresâ€Â¦ About the rule of thirds, I don't think it counts with portraits. Finally, I think this shot could win – I can't fault itâ€Â¦ (10)
