Or none of the above :) It looks to me like the top of a log that has been varnished. Very nice photo with good texture.

I never really thought fog had a texture but it actually creates contrast the brings out other textures. well done, nice photo.

very good indeed, 9.
it would be 10 if those red spots at the top were not there, and if the contrast was ever so slightly lower. the white reflections on the black seem a little too bright.
