It is a good composition, with the fruit taking up all but one corner of the photo, and the way you have laid out the fruit is very well done. I've voted this a 7. - Konador | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 09/14/2002 09:38:00 AM | A Salad for Caesarby magnetic9999Comment: Good trick with the title :) I like the way you have layed out the fruit on top of the collumn, but I think it needs something else on the right hand side, to sort of balance the picture out. You've got a nice angle on the column aswell, and i really like the drops on the tomatos. One thing i'm not too keen on in this photo is the background. It looks like you've used a sheet, because I can see places where it is raised up, and I think it kinda takes away alot of the clarity that the column creates. Also, the top left looks very blown out. 7 Konador | Photographer found comment helpful. |

I think its a very nice photo, but the tomato could be in better focus I think. It seems a bit blurred to me. 7 Konador | Photographer found comment helpful. |

I think you should have used a ripe banana, as this one looks quite old and battered and that kind of puts me off. Also, the focusing on this isn't all that good, try it in macro mode if you can't focus up that close. The bottom of the banana is cropped out aswell, which kind of messes up the frame in my opinion. 3 Konador |

I also think you picked a great day to shoot, as the sky is just perfect! I think to make it a better shot however, the lemon should be a brighter yellow, because at the moment it looks a bit dull. Maybe some different lighting would help this issue a bit? Besides that I think this is a great photo! 8 Konador |
| 09/14/2002 09:11:00 AM | Citrus Moleculeby pnichollsComment: Hmm nice idea. I don't think it looks that much like a molecule tho. I think to make it look more like one you could have used more fruit, and actually shown the sticks that hold them together, like on those huge models that you always see in films :) I do like this photo though. Very nice vibrant colours look great against the black background, and I like the water droplets on the fruit. I think if you used a fully ripened lemon it could look better, because it would be all yellow without the shade of green, but good photo none-the-less. 7 Konador |
| 09/13/2002 10:47:00 AM | Lemon Dropby joannsComment: I like the whole yellowness of this shot. Its good how you appear to have got the lemon floating above the jug, and still kept a drop of juice on it. I have a couple of down points aswell. I think the glare on the jug is a bit too bright. True, it adds contrast to the piece, but I think it should be a little less bright. Also, the shadow on the lemon behind is green, and I think that takes away a bit from the prominently yellow photo. I'm not sure how you could have avoided this. One last thing, The whole photo seems slightly out of focus to me. Now this most likley is that when you resized the photo down, it caused a blur, even if the original photo was in perfect focus. Try adding a sharpen filter to it. 8 -Konador | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 09/13/2002 10:53:00 AM | Peapaya--(genetically modified Fruit 'n Veg )by andrewmComment: Nice idea, with a good composition, clearly taking into account the rule of thirds. The orange and green colours work well against the white background, and it is good you have used soft lighting, so that no bright areas are cast onto the fruit. One suggestion I have tho, I think that it would look better if the peas were in the papaya, filling the hole completly, whereas at the moment they are just up the sides as far as I can tell. It just looks a bit strange. 8 Konador |

| 09/13/2002 11:01:00 AM | Too Much Pressureby lionelmComment: Great macro shot. It captures very nice detail. I love the vibrant orange colour next to the pale metal of the "thing". I think maybe you could have zoomed in a bit to get rid of that plain area in the top right, to improve the photo's impact a bit, but other than that, great photo! 8 Konador | Photographer found comment helpful. |
