Helping Handsby frankiecool04Comment: I do not want to sound condescending or insult you in any way but I find this photo awful. First of all, the date. Just plain having the date in the picture absolutely and utterly ruins it for me personally. Secondly, the ligthing is awful. Flash exposure just barely lights up your feet and nothing else, gives off harsh and ugly shadows and the rest of the frame is totally dark and while having negative space can be useful in composing a shot, this time it´s just dead space doing nothing for the shot. Thirdly the subject, it´s not interesting at all, it´s just your feet up on a table. Again, I apologize if I offend you for that is not my intention but I make a point out of not giving a 1 and not explaining why. Hope you keep it up though, things can only improve. |

i doby sacredspiritComment: It´s just way too dark for my taste, 90% of the image is pretty much pitch black and only a small fraction of herright legis lit. If you are making it dark to not put anything on display you should perhaps tried a technique callend "painting with light" to give you more control over what parts are dark and what parts are bright. If you are unfamiliar with this technique, send me PM after the challenge is over and I will gladly assist you. |

Stormyby ZoomdakComment: I think I have seen this place photographed before on this site. This -> www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=108843 is the same location right? Anyway while this is far from being a poor effort it just does look so much better in colour, I gave it a 6. |

Dice Cubesby DCThiessenComment: I like this shot, could easily be in a commercial, at least it is up in that quality. Wonder what it would look like in colour, with an extremely blue backround behind it. |

thereby klementComment: You are probably going somewhere with this image but I just don´t plain get it. All I see is a silhouette of a figure and everything out of focus and also see lots of artefacts so the quality is poor too boost so it´s very hard not to give this a very ver low rating, wich is exactly what I did. No offense intended, I just personally hate it when people rate low and don´t give a reason as to why. |

Love isnt always so...by jasriceComment: Just way way way too much contrast for me. Personally I would almost call this digital art more than a photograph but because of that I believe this would probably do well at an art exhibit. |

Winterby kremkexComment: This image gives me the chills and makes me want to crawl under a blanket. Thats pretty much a good thing, to be able to give off that kind of an emotion just from a photograph so what I am trying to say is that I like it, it´s a bit dark but that just adds to the "cold" mood of the shot. Well done. |

Jemby echo68phComment: The easiest way to do a good portrait is to make sure that you capture the eyes really well and when you don´t go that way you really need to make up for it by some other means and I am afraid you do not do that here. This just looks like a bad snapshot so I can´t really give it anything but a 2 but keep it up, practice makes perfect. |
