this has a very asian flavor to it... great color (the graded tones in the bowl are nice) and use of negative space. maybe the composition could have been strengthened if the stalk was oriented towards the upper right and the lighting placed to create the shadow in a diagonal across that same corner, creating a balance in an asymmetrical shot. good work! nice composition. however, the photo looks stretched...so much so that it was one of the first things i noticed. try not to stretch (or sqeeze) more than 10-15 pixels in one direction, otherwise the distortion will become evident. (7) ~mcmurma
